Our stay was very comfortable and it's very easy to get to the golf course, which was our main requirement. Also there's plenty to do in Fife on the non-golf days. Bernie and Nicola were very responsive and helpful.

We love the East Neuk and happily discovered John's place which made for a great stay this time around. We normally prefer to fully self-cater but for just two nights, this was ideal: with breakfast included and a kitchenette to prepare our picnic (plus plenty of restaurant options within easy walking distance). To have a generous bedroom plus a kitchen/dining/sitting room was a real bonus and made for good value. The place was quiet, comfortable and well situated - having the option of sitting outside in the sunshine was a distinctive bonus. John and his partner were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend !

Very comfortable accommodation and spotlessly clean. A beautiful area. Very nice to have welcome bottle of wine and biscuits. We stayed four nights and did our whole holiday via public transport. Walk from Dalmeny station is 12 mins. Walk to Tesco is 12 mins and the local coop a little closer. Had a lovely day out in Edinburgh (train from Dalmeny approx 16 mins). Fabulous Maid of Forth boat trip to Inchcolm Island was excellent. On our last day, we walked across the Forth Road Bridge to North Queensferry, then walked a little further, along the Fife Coastal Path, then a train from Inverkeithing back across the Forth Bridge to Dalmeny. A lovely circular outing. Blessed with blue skies. The accommodation is attached to the host’s cottage, but feels very separate. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay (although hanging space in the bedrooms would be great). Jennifer and Gareth were on hand if needed, but not at all intrusive. We would definitely recommend this place. Thankyou

Another great stay. Warm and welcoming and a great surroundings to admire through the large windows. Very relaxing.

Bus stop is just around the corner and takes about 30 minutes to go to the other end of Edinburgh, with much of the city available after 15 minutes. Busses run frequently - never waited more than 5 minutes. The kitchen, although small, was very well equipped. Tatu made himself available to us, but was never imposing. We felt the annex was very private. The bed was comfortable, water pressure was great. Bedroom faces away from the street with a charming view and no noise (very quiet).

Great accommodation and lovely hosts. Perfect spot for the endless local mountain biking, walking, coffee and cakes. Wish we had stayed another week!

Lavender Cottage is amazing! I rented it for one month but could have easily kept living there much longer. It's very cozy and comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bed and shower were excellent. The kitchen was small but very well equipped. Everything you could possibly need to prepare your own meals is there. The best part of the whole place is probably the sun room. On a sunny day you can sit there in a T-shirt even if it's cold and windy outside! My wife joined me for 10 days and it was quite comfortable for the two of us, but I do think that the space would be a bit tight for four people (what it is listed for). Sheena is the most amazing host. She always responded quickly to questions and was happy to give local recommendations. Knowing that I would arrive with jetlag, she even placed an initial small supply of food in the kitchen! Two minor inconveniences are the lack of an outlet plug in the bathroom and the hard-to-reach kitchen faucet. But overall I highly recommend it.

If you love the East neuk of Fife, or just being by the sea, or have a pet and want a pet-friendly break, or any combination of these - look no further!

Lynn and I had a wonderful stay with super host 5 star service provided. Studio was well equipped, comfortable and clean. Can’t thank the host’s enough, you bet we will return!

absolutely loved this place , the extras that Fiona provided were second to none, lots of choice for breakfast, fresh milk and orange juice. Plenty of spare towel and bedding if needed. there was even branded shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. Would definitely recommend this place and we will be back visiting soon

Julie is a warm, helpful host. The accommodation is very tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable. Very welcome respite while visiting family nearby. It couldn't be better. Her new bathroom and shower is fabulous!

Small, but comfortable room in the West end with all needed amenities. The whole stay was very comfortable, Anuradha was very hospitable and welcoming. Great location to discover Glasgow, very quiet and peaceful. Subway and a number of cafes and restaurants are in walking distance. Not very accessible for people with restrictions due to being on a basement level and having stairs on the way. But it won't be a problem for majority of people.

I wish I could’ve given this place five stars from the first night we stayed! They helped us get tee times because our phones weren’t able to make any calls. They gave us so many recommendations and helped us feel right at home! Sara and Matt were amazing hosts and their family was just so kind. We would love to come back and visit and stay there again in a heartbeat! The golf simulator was fun itself after a day of golf to just play on. 11/10 would recommend. Thank yall so much!

Perfect! Exactly as described. We had a lovely relaxing weekend. Warm, cosy and very clean. Everything you need and a few extras for breakfast. Much appreciated. Plenty of information supplied about the local area; walks, places of interest, restaurants including takeaway menus for home delivery. The hot tub is perfect for relaxing after a nice local walk. we would have no hesitation in recommending to others. Thank you. We will definitely be back. Billy & Laura

Mhairi’s place was great to stay at. It is peaceful and quiet with a short walk to the sea. Good parking a short walk away. The location is great to bus to the city center. (Four choices running very often). Mhari was very kind at check in and responsive in chat. We would definitely return here for another stay 😃!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Peter’s place. He made the check in process easy and we felt right at home. The surroundings were stunning and peaceful, we only wish we had more time there. His dog Hurrah was adorable and friendly and we felt comfortable, cosy and right at home. I highly recommend staying here.

From first booking Janet made it clear that anything we wanted to know or needed help with she was always available to speak to (from how to get from airport on public transport to giving advice on location. The accommodation was faultless and even provided us with tea and coffee, milk, bread for toast with butter and jam also provided. I could not fault the host or accommodation and next time I go to the 02 academy in Edinburgh Janet's place is the place I will be booking (02 academy edinburgh is 5 mins walk from accommodation and Asda and Mc Donalds a further 1 min walk away also Greg's, Costa coffee and a M&S food hall less than 3 mins walk away from property. Parking a your car is on private drive if driving and if not bus 44 or 4 to and from Princess street (Edinburgh town centre) is 2 mins walk away from the property. So all things considered Janet's accommodation is a great place to stay so what are you waiting for and book now

Elizabeth was the perfect host. we felt right at home. She gave us useful information regarding the bus system and walking directions to the village. it was just the right distance from the city center. We would definitely recommend a stay at the Den.

We stayed at Veronique’s place for three nights. She was proactive before our arrival and sent super clear instructions about the check-in & gave a quick walk through the apartment upon arrival, explaining e.g. heating adjustments etc. The place was spacious, clean and comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen with surprise breakfast foods ready in the fridge. Such a lovely touch especially for us coming to Edinburgh after a tour of Isle of Skye. We could relax, have a slow morning and then head out to explore the city with so many nice spots to see in walkable distance. Thank you, we’ll be back one day 🙌
