Our stay at Moments on the Maury was fantastic. The house was pristine and so cozy. The kitchen was well-equipped and there were plenty of towels and bed linens. Even during a cold November weekend, we couldn't resist spending some time on the deck to admire the view of the river - so beautiful and peaceful. Katie was great with communication - she proactively sent all of the info we needed before our stay and responded quickly to messages. We will definitely stay again when in the area - highly recommend!

Our stay at this historic home was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we booked, the host was incredibly communicative, ensuring that every detail of our visit was seamless. Upon arrival, we were welcomed into a beautifully kept home that radiates charm and history, dating back to the late 1800s. One of the many highlights of our stay was the thoughtful breakfast provisions, which lasted us throughout our entire visit—a true testament to the host’s generosity and hospitality. The home itself was spotless, well-maintained, and provided a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The property is also a haven for nature lovers. We were delighted to see deer right outside, adding to the peaceful and serene setting. The location was perfect for our trip to Liberty University for the CFAW event, making it both convenient and enjoyable. Overall, this was an exceptional stay, and we highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and unique place to stay.

Ashley and Ryan were great hosts, attentive, responsive and accommodating! The house was clean, cozy and nicely updated.

The property was even better than described. It was perfect for a private weekend getaway. The peaceful views of a snowy landscape were all the better when viewed from the warmth of the spectacular hot tub! Alex is an excellent host and made us feel like she really wanted us to have the best possible time while staying at her place. She was proactive, helpful and kind as we had some snow during our stay to make sure we were safe and were able to focus on just enjoying being snowed in! We really had an amazing time and look forward to staying here again.

Tamaras place was just perfect for me, traveling solo. Entrance is off the bedroom, which is extremely quiet and private. This place is perfect for walking downtown. Tamara was extremely communicative, accommodating, and a pleasure as a host. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Tamara!

We loved our stay in the loft @ sunset farms . The location is very close to Lexington, just a 4 min drive. The space was perfect for a girls reunion. Communication with the host was very friendly and prompt. I left something and they were very quick to reach out to me about it.. I recommend !!

We had a wonderful stay! We had plenty of room and the house was beautifully decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. The soaking tub was amazing and the view from the living room of the mountains is breathtaking. We will definitely be staying here again.

Recently booked 4 nights while attending an event at the Virginia Horse Center. Michelle was great, was able to accommodate an extra day and was in touch during the check in process. I found the bed to be extremely comfortable and the apartment was spotless. I have several events in the area throughout the year and would definitely stay again.

My husband and I and young Bloodhound traveled to Lexington for a BMX bike race and relaxation. The cabin was pristine, comfy, in a beautiful setting and I could go on and on!! Sally had fresh eggs from her own chickens, homemade blueberry muffins, milk, juice, water, shampoo/ conditioner….and much more!! We saw deer right outside of the kitchen window… the area is perfect for front porch sitting and nice walks! Sally and her husband went above and beyond!! We WILL be back!! This cabin is lovely. All the windows bring in so much natural light, that although the weather wasn’t as ideal outside as we had hoped, we still felt like we were able to enjoy the views and nature around us. It easily accommodated our family, and was close enough to Lexington to not feel isolated. The rooms have beautiful natural wood ceilings and whitewashed shiplap walls, making it feel a bit more chic than just rustic. The towels are soft and plentiful, and bathrooms modern. The kitchen has a nice assortment of spices and condiments, which we enjoyed, as my husband is an excellent cook. We had just one difficulty with a very sensitive fire alarm near the kitchen while cooking, but other than that, our stay was seamless.

The cabin was very nice, the view is exceptional. If you sit on the couch, lay on the bed you have a beautiful Mountain View. There was nothing we were missing. Very close to the Virginia Horse Center if you are visiting there. Quiet and very low light pollution so the stars were incredible. Plenty of deer in the evening time.

This place was wonderful! The air bnb is a very beautiful, unique and fun historical home! Janeen was very accommodating and very responsive! The air bnb is stocked with everything you could possibly need! The back porch over looking the river was my favorite spot! Very peaceful and serene! I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

Visiting from Virginia Beach with our daughters, one at JMU and one at Virginia Tech, and with family from PA.  The fall color was gorgeous!  Enjoyed the lantern ghost tour and October illumination of the Natural Bridge. We had lunch at Natty B's Cafe and visited Cave Mountain Lake where we saw lot's of wildlife.  We loved the fire pit and everything about this cabin.  You have done an amazing job creating the perfect weekend get away spot.  Thank you!

The house is a beautiful, rustic log home. The main living area is huge and easily able to comfortably accommodate our group of 9. The downstairs is hard to keep warm even while using the wood stove, mostly due to the high ceilings and lack of insulation. The host provides space heaters and quilts, but you should bring extra layers of clothing to wear if you're staying during the cold months. There are lots of games, puzzles, and books and plenty of space to use them. The host provides an ample supply of spices, paper towels, trash bags, hand soap, shampoo, body wash, and toilet paper. The kitchen is well stocked with most of the items you would expect to use. There is a fast moving creek parallel to the house that you can hear from the bedrooms. It's a wonderful way to fall asleep. The chimney fireplace outdoors is wonderful.

Absolutely beautiful property! Very private, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed walking the trails with our dog and since we had mostly rain, relaxing in front of the fireplace reading and listening to music. We did venture out to walk the Chessie Trail, see the Natural Bridge, cross the James River on the footbridge, and check out Lexington downtown area. Would love to come back in another season. Thanks for being pet friendly!

I loved the little cabin in the woods!! It was perfect for a serene escape. The cabin has a beautiful rustic feel and the views are stunning. Definitely check out the stars from the field if you can at night, and take a walk down to the Stream of Consciousness. The drive in and out is also beautiful; you’re surrounded by mountains and rivers. The hot water works great and didn’t run out and all the appliances were spotless. The linens were very clean and all the amenities were as listed!
