We loved our stay at Sam’s place. Island Beach is absolutely stunning, so peaceful and quiet and private, but close enough to Penneshaw and activities to keep us amused. Authenticity Beachhouse was so well situated, with great sea views, and had heaps of space and amenities perfect for our family of four…with an extra room to spare. Sam has thought of everything, and we loved all of the little extras he provided that helped make our holiday more fun - boogie boards, snorkel equipment, beach chairs and tent, lots of outdoor and indoor seating, plus the Hamptons style decor was so lovely. Thanks for a really lovely stay Sam. Our kids have already asked when we are coming back to visit again!

A lovely stay in a homely and comfortable accommodation. The fresh bread and condiments was a lovely touch. Even met a courageous echidna. A terrific place to base yourselves for island exploration. Thank you Christine!

Lots of the previous reviews speak about the very pleasant accomodation and the outstanding cliff-top views - which we fully endorse too. It's just great! What we'd like to add (it was important for us) is the tranquility of the place, with nothing to disturb the absolute sense of peace, quiet and privacy - other than the local birdlife! What a gem! This cute Victorian cottage is modern and comfortable inside. We loved the location as Brownlow is close to the Kingscote shops and restaurants yet on a quiet typical inner beach; weedy but great for dog walking. Lovely hosts, Sabine and Kevin. Thanks.

Great location and charming interior. Plenty of space with everything you need. Emu bay is a beautiful area and has a lovely little cafe and playground at the beach. It’s a great place for families. We enjoyed several koalas in front, as well as echinea and kangaroos around the house. We also appreciated the local welcome goodies. The very nice neighbour next door even let us taste his yummy homegrown tomatoes. It was such a lovely stay and we would book this property again.

My husand and i stayed here for 6 days and ended up eloping at the accommodation site! It is truly beautiful and there are plently of fish to catch at the beach. Our location host tony was truly amazing and went above and beyond to make the trip unforgettable! We plan to make this our anniverasy spot! 10/10 the place is perfect for two looking to imerse themseves in the island with almost panoramic views from the bed and an almost private beach, this is your spot!

Plenty of space in this house - large bedrooms and tv in main room. Missed not having electric blankets or a dishwasher but the house stay warm enough with the heater in the ceiling of the main room. Interesting how both the main bathroom and ensuite were at the same end of the house. A secure backyard if we had taken our dogs with us. No beach view but lovely to see/hear a variety of birds.

Great location, great host and, great villa. Villa was easy to find and great communication from host made the stay perfect.

Perfect stay for the family! Villa was so nice and extremely clean, village in which it’s located was great for the kids. We all had a great time, would definitely stay here again!

Kristy’s place was beyond amazing. Pristine private beach with crystal clear water just a short walk from the house. Every amenity you can imagine at the house. Comfy beds, beautiful pool, luxurious towels, kangaroos hopping around outside, koalas in the trees... So private and amazing there just aren’t words. I’m not sure we’re going to want to vacation anywhere else ever again. Truly magnificent spot. No one wanted to leave.

Our third stay at Doyle's, and each time it feels like a home away from home. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful bush noises, modern amenities - this place has it all! So much space and plenty for everyone to do! The Starlink internet is SUPERFAST!! Thanks for that upgrade lol Special mention to Craig and Rachael, the wonderful custodians. They always go above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need. This time they wrote a beautiful card for us that really touched our hearts! ❤️❤️❤️

What an incredible getaway at Gabi and Jim’s accommodation! This place was worth every single penny and my group had the most wonderful stay. It felt luxurious from the first moment we pulled up to the property. The photos do not do this location justice. The house was spacious, it had every single possible amenity we could need, the kitchen was big, the bedrooms were comfortable, the outdoor space was fabulous to relax in. The pool was a winner though, heated, an incredible view at sunset, watching kangaroos hop by. We really couldn’t have stayed at a better place, it was such a lovely treat. Thank you for such a relaxing weekend, it won’t be forgotten and I would absolutely stay again.

We stayed with our friends (4 adults, 4 children) in Villa 2 which was plenty of space for that number of people. Beds ample sized and comfortable, rooms and living spaces uncluttered. Kitchen well equipped. Beautiful view from the upstairs living and dining space over a rural bush setting. I didn't realise how big and well equipped the South Shores area is - the playground, swimming pools, gardens all really exceeded our expectations and between this and the games room and kayaks that were provided in the Villa there was no shortage of things to do.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Azzurra with its beautiful views and well appointed accommodation. The house is very well equipped and has everything needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay with added touches which afford a home from home experience. Liz was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help us with Ferry bookings. Would highly recommend.

Magical end of the earth location. Brand new home, very well stocked and well set up for cooking and bar-b-que. Loved seeing the wallabies at the food bowl at sunset. Had the special treat of a koala stopping by! Stunning sunrises. Warren is excellent communicator with great recommendations. Looking forward to returning some day!

Eva's place was nice and modern. The selection of amenities was nice and the location is very convenient to walk around the town of Kingscote.

Our experience at Shylies was outstanding, and we are already looking forward to our next visit, which is a reflection of the high quality of the accommodation. Located in close proximity to the ferry port, the property is easily accessible, and upon arrival, we were impressed by the peaceful and secluded surroundings. The accommodation exceeded our expectations in every way, and we particularly enjoyed relaxing on the deck with a bottle of wine, observing the local wildlife, and even spotting a few kangaroos. The property is exceptionally well-appointed and maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the bed linen was of exceptional quality. A highlight of our stay was the stunning private beach, accessible via a short walk from the property, which we enjoyed visiting every evening. We would like to thank Kate and Andy for accommodating us at short notice, and we look forward to returning soon.

French couple visiting Kangaroo Island for the first time. Emily is a premium host, she’s very reactive and the beach house is super clean and well decorated. The view from the living room and master bedroom is stunning. You’ll be able to spot from the beach house : kangaroos, wallabies, dolphins, galah cockatoos, cormorants etc. We even saw a seal !! U can go for a swim in front of the house but we recommend the Stokes Bay beach (paradise beach) 10min by walk from the house. The beach house is well-located (in the middle of the island so u ll be mid-distance from everything) but be careful to go to the supermarket at your arrival in Cape Jervis (port) because there are none other supermarkets around the beach house. Nearest real supermarket is in Kingscote (40min by car). We’ll enjoy coming back and having seafront bbqs !! Thx for all

Magnifique séjour avec accès direct à la plage de Hanson Bay, situationexception face à l'océan, kangourous passant juste à côté de la maison. Tom a été fantastique pour les tours réservés dans le sanctuaire et il nous a fait découvrir ce petit coin de paradis comme jamais nous n'avions vécu. Encore merci à Tom!
