this was our groups second time staying at Victoria and Mervyn's place, and we'll be coming back again. beautiful secluded location, hot tub, fire pit, nice open space with many bedrooms. when an issue arose they were very quick to fix it. we'll be back! thank you!

The cabin and its surroundings are absolutely beautiful, and Mark and Tayler are amazing hosts! I came for a weekend of peaceful relaxation, and I couldn’t have asked for a better setting. The small touches (like a wood stove set up with kindling, bird feeder food ready to use, vinyl collection with stereo ready to play) made the visit feel truly magical. I can’t wait to visit again!

Girls weekend here was fantastic! Very comfortable and clean cottage. Beautiful views. Love the large deck, enclosed porch and big kitchen. Would definitely book again.

Alison's cottage was one of the most peaceful places we have been to. We spent a weekend there with a couple of friends and since our arrival everything was impeccable! Alison's responsiveness, care, and attention were the best - she was welcoming, flexible and extremely attentive to details. Everything in the cottage was just perfect for a wonderful stay. We will surely come back!

I'll admit, based on the reviews our expectations were high. They were exceeded in nearly every facet of our stay. We desperately needed ( election fatigue) to get away and have a week of peace, quiet, and serenity. Danielle and Jorden's home was perfect. there was not one single time while staying there that we looked for something that didn't exist. The bathrooms and kitchen are fabulous, and all are very well appointed. The radiant floors in the ensuite bath were a nice touch. The location is ideal, you are right on the lake with wonderful views from both inside and out, and despite having neighbors, it feels incredibly private. We had one small mechanical issue which Danielle took care of immediately. they were a pleasure to speak with, and their response time was always nearly immediate. The locals were incredibly friendly, the supermarket is just across the lake, and there's a nice dog park for those bringing their fur babies. We look forward to a returning to this ideal spot.

Michelle was an amazing host, very communicative and proactive. Her place was the perfect and quiet family getaway on a pristine waterfront property. The house was spacious, bright and incredibly clean and very well stocked. We were very impressed by how modern and homely her place was. It was incredibly easy to navigate and use the space. Our two pups really enjoyed their stay as well.

We had a perfect stay. Gorgeous location with fantastic views, we had a lovely sighting of two swans on the lake on our arrival! The place was spotless and so comfortable and cozy. Wish we could have stayed for another week. Highly recommend this ideal cottage.

Our group of 10 had a wonderful stay at Glenn's beautiful cottages. We were able to sleep 5 in each cottage with plenty of beds to spare. We enjoyed canoeing, swimming in the lake, grilling on the barbecue, and staying in playing board games when it rained. It would have been nice to have the hot tubs active during the rain, but we made do with the indoor jacuzzi tub! Glenn was super helpful, informative, and responsive which we all appreciated. And we loved that this was one of the only places around with a large enough kitchen table to seat everyone for a meal! Overall a very pleasant stay, highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay with our pet at Pineview Cottage. Valarie is a very friendly host who greeted us on arrival. Very clear instructions for check-in details of the cottage was sent in advance - cottage matched the pics. She also had some useful tips for us about sites in the area. Chaffey's Lock is beautiful & peaceful place and we had a very comfortable stay at Valarie's. Will certainly stay at her cottage again if we are in the area.

Our stay was great! No issues whatsoever, host was accommodating and friendly, house had everything we needed, we stayed for work, so didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit with wood provided which I thought was very nice of the hosts! Water was not potable but the hosts leave you lots of drinking water, and water to make coffee!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The host was proactive with communication and set expectations. We appreciated the ability to include our family pet. The king size bed was a hit and my kids enjoyed endless cuddles!

We had such a cozy and relaxing girls' weekend at this beautiful cottage! Even with a winter storm rolling through, we stayed in, made the most of the space, and especially loved soaking in the hot tub. It was the perfect way to unwind. The cottage had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway, and the atmosphere was just what we were hoping for. What really made our stay special were the hosts. They were incredibly kind, so accommodating, and quick to respond; truly amazing and thoughtful hosts. We felt so welcomed and taken care of from start to finish. We’re already talking about coming back in the warmer months to enjoy even more of what this spot has to offer. Highly recommend!

The space was very clean, from the kitchen to the windows, and the beds were very comfortable! Check-in and check-out were very easy and the location is excellent. We went in winter, and it was a delightful weekend. I believe in summer it would be even more fun! I recommend it and hope to return when winter passes! :)

It was the perfect send-off for their time in Canada, from cooking traditional dishes together to roasting s’mores by the fire and simply enjoying nature. The cabin had everything we could possibly need—plenty of fuzzy blankets, video games for some fun downtime, and a kitchen stocked with equipment that made cooking together even more special. Your quick and thoughtful communication made booking seamless, and your clear instructions ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay. I also cannot thank you enough for coordinating the safe return of my laptop as a University student with no car, even after we’d been reminded to check my belongings! We truly appreciate your hospitality and would love to stay again in the future!

It was a very comfortable and clean place to stay. It is situated in a quiet rural neighborhood with a great view of the water. We found the location to be very peaceful and relaxing. The owner stayed in constant contact with us to make sure that our needs were being met. All in all, it was a great place to spend a few weeks.

A big shout out to Terry and Becky for being such wonderful hosts. The cottage was was cozy, had all the required amenities and is placed in a mesmerizing location in the lap of nature. The hosts were very responsive, respectful, gave good local recommendations and when we checked out they invited us to visit their lovely horse collection. This is a must visit.

Leah was very helpful in making sure our stay went seamless. Took care of plowing/snowblowing to make the property accessible to all areas of interest as with going had some awful weather.(Snow with more Snow). lol. Again she was very responsive with questions I had and Informative to the specifics of the area. Cozy spot, great to relax and unwind. Would definitely go again, perhaps a great summertime spot.

We had an amazing stay! The view was absolutely stunning, and we got really lucky with a clear night— the entire sky was covered in stars. After a hike the sauna was the perfect way to relax. Such a great spot for a getaway. Highly recommend!

Thank you Ryan!! This listing is the perfect escape from the city and has EVERYTHING you need. The host was very responsive, walked us through setting up a fire. Even in the craziest of snowstorms it was cozy and warm. Gorgeous decor. Comfortable couch. Couldn't say enough nice words!! Some airbnbs you can tell the host has never actually stayed there because they are missing dishes etc or it's not set up nicely. This place was PERFECT and you can tell the host puts a lot of care into the space and has stayed there themselves. Will have to be back!!!!!!!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay during the last week of August! Some of our favourite parts of the place include: the canoes/kayaks that were available to use at our leisure, the check-in process being seamless, the essentials being provided (all kitchen supplies, beach towels, shower supplies), the other amenities (board games, BBQ). The place itself is quite beautiful. The dock with the chairs, the fire pit (even though we did not use) and the solarium were all stunning. I would just mention that it is a bit smaller of a place inside, so did find it a bit cozy and tight in the rooms. Also, the place is supplied with quite a loud window AC so sometimes it would get a bit loud/warm in the place. However, we would still give the place a 5/5 all things considered.

My family (11 and 9 year old boys, 7 year old girl) had an amazing winter stay at Jas's cottage. Our primary purpose for the trip was to spend a day in Ottawa for Winterlude and skating on the Canal, but we found that we enjoyed the cottage just as much as our day in the city. The cottage was warm and comfortable with a nice pellet stove. The furnace works great, so it wasn't necessary for primary heating, but it really added to the ambiance and kept us extra cozy when we were hanging out indoors. The cottage is right on Black Lake, which was completely frozen for our stay in mid-February. Due to the heavy snow during our stay, we weren't able to make use of it for ice skating, but still walked down to play in the snow and take some pictures of the beautiful setting. Jas is exceptionally skilled as a host, and was immediately responsive any time that I contacted him. I highly recommend Jas and this cottage without reservation. We would love to come back to see the place in the summer.

Carissa and Owen's cottage is a super cozy and charming cottage with many well thoughtout updates in the open floor plan. The cottage was both very clean and decorated in a perfect 'lakeside' vibe style. The hosts responded quickly to our questions and went the extra distance to make the bunkie available for us outside the preferred season. Would definitely return for another stay.

I would recommend Julie's place to everyone, the location and the lake view was beyond amazing. The house was clean, the host was super responsive when a small alarm was triggered by the tank level, and they even refunded me for one day because of the alarm (I didn't really expect this as it didn't really cause me any trouble.) I would definitely go back to this place.
